Wednesday's Workouts and Woes

Postby Strider » Wed Dec 12, 2012 7:23 am

Easy recovery run today as I have another "workout" on the schedule for tomorrow. Perfect mindless, effortless run. A little chilled at times, but nothing a hot shower couldn't fix. Just over 10km in 52min.

Strength at lunch.

I did a half hour run this morning. Lots of walk breaks thrown in as I went out on an empty stomach and seemed to suffer for it with a lack of energy.

Rest day for me!

first run since sunday for me. I slept in a funny position sunday night and woke up with neck pain monday am - hurt just to walk, let alone run! Today it's almost gone, so I tried out 5k on the TM this morning. I felt sore, creaky and old! But it's done.

I sat starting at the screen, trying to figure out why there was no Thursday thread  The combo of sick hubby and kids, school plays and other work functions are clearly wearing me down.

6.5K on the treadmill this morning, and a possible afternoon run with Duncan once he's home from school.

Another 11km or so run on the schedule today at lunch. Significantly colder outside today than yesterday!

I run because it's my passion, and not just a sport. Every time I walk out the door, I know why I'm going where I'm going and I'm already focused on that special place where I find my peace and solitude. Running, to me, is more than just a physical exercise...it's a consistent reward for victory!
