Thanks everyone. :)

Rob- perhaps you can come and video me at one of my practice swims. :) Thanks again for being there and supporting my craziness.

As for the times; I sent a follow-up email and I haven't heard back. I'm assuming the guy thinks I'm just one of those whiners who doesn't believe the chip times. Oh well. The phone number goes to a voicemail of a guy listing other company names. I am not going to make more of a stink of this; although it's frustrating, at least I know my real times and I had tons of fun doing it. I'll just have to do a sprint in May to get my redemption. :)

I really want to do the Subaru Vancouver race someday. If I could sort out a good road bike rental and have it fitted to me perfectly before race day, I'd totally do it. I don't want to ship my bike. Maybe next year!

Thanks everyone!
I really enjoyed every minute of it.

CinC wrote:(the lane switching in the swim sounds painful though - the pool swim tris I have done are set up so you stay in your one lane the whole swim and there are lap counters!)

For the longer distance swims they have people going up one side of the lane and down the other, so under the rope ever 100m. I guess they figured they might as well spread us across the whole pool.

For the tri I want to do in May, they used to do as you say with lap counters but this year will switch to the under-rope method. But we will switch every 74m- it's a 37m pool. I don't think I've ever swum in a 37m pool.

Perhaps more of this will make me want to do open water swims. ;)

Yeah- I didn't care if they changed the bib number- fixing that wasn't the issue. And they "fixed" it the wrong way.

So... I guess you weren't impressed with my running video? ;) My legs just couldn't go any faster. Sprint the finish? Ha! Maybe if I train more on the bike. :)

Ha ha, I can't swing 2 BC trips in the next couple of months but I will be doing a sprint back here. I haven't decided which one yet since picking's are slim.

  That was actually geared towards Jennifer.

But I'll talk to the TNT tri coach and see if he is aware of any good bike rental places that could help you out.
