Gentle 9K at sunrise along the boardwalk. Tip of the cap to Mother Nature for confining a torrential downpour to the overnight hours.

Nasty morning out – Very cold and Very Windy with blowing snow (-21 windchill), not that I am not used to that, just was enjoying the warmer, dryer conditions. Good thing was that it kept it to an easy sheltered route. Not much to report, just an hour recovery run, 11.5km. Another 30-35 mins on the plan for lunch today. Hope it warms up just a little or the wind dies down

I'm enjoying my MacDonalds coffee and then I am off to the gym for a chest and triceps workout. I will run later today probably 5 kms. :)

The was just the faintest glimmer of daylight as I was arriving at work at 7:15AM. Soon we will have morning daylight again.

After a hard run last night, today's plan is to walk home from work.

Nasty morning- cold, windy, and raw feeling. 15K done, with 11K tempo. Almost threw in the towel 6K into the tempo portion (it was feeling way harder than it should have for that pace) but I relaxed a bit, slowed down my breathing, picked up the pace, and got it done.
Keep on rolling, just a mile to go. Keep on rolling my old buddy, you're moving much too slow.

Morning!

A great hill workout last night with the half and full marathoners. What a scene of about 25 of us running up and down Don River road :D 8K done in 52 minutes (all stops included).

Followed that up with my last tempo run before ATB. 10K with 30 minutes (just over 6K)@ tempo pace (7.5-7.6mph). Some stretch and strength after.

Cold and snowy outside today! Another 10-20cm expected to fall within the next 24 hours. Blech. I have spin on tap tonight :)

Another day of good intentions for me, sigh... I worked late last night, and had dinner late, and this morning my stomach felt too "heavy" to run. Not to mention that it was SO hard to get out of bed. In the end I traded my run for 45 minutes on the elliptical. So better than nothing, but not as good as a 12 - 13 km run. These things happen, and I am trying not to beat myself up mentally for missing a run, but this hasn't been a stellar training cycle as it is. But no time to dwell on it, way too busy. Cannot wait for this particular year-end to end - it has been brutal and there are several hurdles to clear before it's done.

First of all I LOVE the title of this thread!! 8)

After feeling really sluggish and lazy all week, I woke up this morning with the burning desire to get out and run! It absolutely poured yesterday and this morning the sun was out and everything just looked washed clean. I did probably 5k. :)

Funny story (to me at least): when I was a university student, a classmate of mine made a big point about claiming that his birthday was on "e day". "e" is a fancy math number equal to 2.71828..., and this guy's reasoning was that 2.71 is February 71, which is March 43, which is April 12. I then pointed out that once you've allowed the precedent of wrapping around months, everybody's birthday is "e day" (or "pi day", for that matter) on account of the irrationality of those numbers. Anyway, boring story short: I can't make a big deal out of a holiday which only exists as a result of rationalizing the irrational. (Yeah, yeah, I know that it would be nice if someone rationalized me...)

I didn't say you had to make a big deal of it. ;)
Instead you chose to name the thread after a combination of the day of the week and its proximity to the spring equinox.
