I hate race photos . . .

Just had a look at my pics from the St. Patty's Day race and it actually looks like I'm on deaths door, LOL. I don't think I've ever been in pictures where I look as horrific as I do in race shots. It's ridiculous actually. I vote that they should be outlawed, LOL

I was just commenting on the fact that no matter what I do, I can't seem to get a nice pic of me running. I would actually like to have a nice one, just like some of the shots I have of me fly fishing. I do like the one in my avatar, but it was actually taken from a video frame of a movie I shot.

Race Photographers can't do magic, ya know ... j/k though, they can do a quite a lot with photo-chop ... Next race, when you see a race photographer, just look at them and stop, brush your hair a bit and smile ..

And, one of the added benefits and best trick that I have is, run with one of the owners from Zoomphoto during your race(s) and you will be sure to get a gazillion photos taken ...

At Red Deer marathon when I ran it, they had signs to tell you that you were about to see a photographer so you could compose yourself. I think the signs were funny, which helped too!

I thought......I was hoping for a zoom photo someday.

In the mean time, today I made a big joke with my compatriots of straightening up, sticking out my chest sucking in my stomach cuz a photographer was coming up. then I made a big saggy move after that.

I wear dark shades and always seem to have a few good ones to choose from! Remove the shades and I often look like hell so don't feel bad! There are some of course where my form sucks but that's to be expected from continuous shooting!

Maybe I'll just seek out a trail race this summer and hope for a wipeout before I get to the photo stage. At least the dirt, blood and bruising would give me a shot with some character in it, LOL
