No swim for me this week because DH is out of town for work, and apparently it's frowned upon to leave your toddler at home alone at 6 in the morning, even if she's asleep and the pool is only 750m away from your house.

Instead - an easy 5 km on the treadmill. As much as I complain about that thing, it's a blessing on these days when I'm solo parenting.

8K with the clinic last night. I think I have another injured participant :( She was relentless, and never listened to me when I told her every run is not a race. I hope she heals fast, because she's a pretty decent runner.

Tonight will be hills!

13 km run to work, incl. 9 km @tempo pace. -9C/-14WC, partly cloudy. Snowbanks are disappearing, but I'm not sure I like all this ice any better. Still, pretty decent run.
Plan for 2016:
Jun 25: St. Malo Triathlon - Sprint - done
Jul 16: Morden Triathlon - Sprint - done

A very chilly and windy 50mins (9.75km) this morning. Bunnies are out so Pup is happy, new smells and sightings. Elliptical and Strength at lunch.

Definitely chilly outside this morning and I was not sorry that this was a gym day! 4 miles on the elliptical followed by some upper body weights and ab work. Tonight is either a make-up belly dance class or working. Hoping for the former, obviously, but the growing pile of "stuff to do before Boston" is casting some doubt on that. Back to the salt mines for me! Have a good day, everyone. :)

10km on tap for lunch hour. This evening an hour of strength and tabata. I like the double days, I sleep well :) Happy Hump Day!

I run because it's my passion, and not just a sport. Every time I walk out the door, I know why I'm going where I'm going and I'm already focused on that special place where I find my peace and solitude. Running, to me, is more than just a physical exercise...it's a consistent reward for victory!

8K through the park. Monday's decision to shut down the run 1K from home is now looking extremely wise.

Hehehe...quite. I was wondering who'd catch the reference.

I started singing it in my head about 5k in and had to play it once I got back.

I'm older now but I'm still running against the wind.

Ran home with the backpack and was reminded how much runs home with the backpack suck. But, I didn't mind. I just walked a bit extra.

About 5.5km at lunchtime, at what turned out (upon later calculation, since I only had my regular watch and not the Garmin) to be in between 10k & HM race pace. Including running up Pottery Road hill, just to get me warmed up for the Spring Run Off this Saturday...

7.5 k as fast as I could run. The streets are suddenly much drier than they were even 24 hours ago. It is also above zero which feels warm even though it isn't!
