On the Road again to Thursday.
On the Road again to Thursday.
My little break worked wonders . I am getting out this afternoon for a 8 km run in Fort Worth. I am now heading to the gym.
If you have to ask me why I Run, You probably wouldn't understand!

19K this morning- 2.5K warm up, 15K at marathon pace, 1.5K cool down.
Keep on rolling, just a mile to go. Keep on rolling my old buddy, you're moving much too slow.
Re: On the Road again to Thursday.
I had a horrible run last night (felt ). Today is a rest day, but since it's a nice day I think I'll walk home from work.

Morning!
Last night was a great hill workout with the clinic. It was going to be a very casual one but everyone ended up completing the 8 hills! Plus a hilly route there and back. 8.5K in total.
Right back at it this morning. 10K on the TM with 7k@ 5m/k (7.5mph) and 1k@ 5.2 (7.0mph) 1K warm up and 1K cool down. Then some stretching and strength. 2 hard workouts in 12 hours! I'm pooped! Tomorrow will be a rest day.

Slept through my alarm (again ) - woke up 45 min after my alarm was supposed to go off, only to find out we had freezing rain overnight. Squeezed in 15k of the planned 20 on the TM, including 5x 1.6k at tempo pace with .4k recovery. I'll do the last 5k tonight after the Hamsters are in bed.

Re: On the Road again to Thursday.
This morning was supposed to be speedwork/progression run on the TM at the gym, but DH didn't sleep well last night so he stayed in bed while I went out and ran 13 km around the neighbourhood insteaad. It was not as cold nor as windy as Tuesday, but it still felt pretty frosty for Spring. It's supposed to be 10 C later today, but I'll be doing my wage slave gig then. Anyway, it was not a progression run but I did keep a brisk pace once I got warmed up and it was overall a good outing. Work lunch today and then dinner out tonight with a friend from England who is passing through Toronto on her way to the Caribbean, so had to burn some calories.
Have a great day, everyone

I run because it's my passion, and not just a sport. Every time I walk out the door, I know why I'm going where I'm going and I'm already focused on that special place where I find my peace and solitude. Running, to me, is more than just a physical exercise...it's a consistent reward for victory!

Re: On the Road again to Thursday.
I was having an awesome run on the TM this morning, but my little training buddy got up early, and DH had to leave to coach, so I had to cut it short at 5km. Still a nice run.

Felt like I had a rock in my stomach. Had to shut the run down at 7K. I'm fine today.

Re: On the Road again to Thursday.
Wind on this side of the river wasn't as bad as yesterday, but enough to keep me honest. Felt like I was running with a 20lb weight on my back., meaning not much energy but managed to squeak out 11.5k in the hr.

Not a bad day to run in the K-W area.
BT continues so I had a nice 80 minute run at a moderate pace. As usual I book ended walks around my run .

I was supposed to have an easy 6K tonight, but I just wasn't feeling it. I'll swap my break days and make it up tomorrow instead.

And 5k done. It took every ounce of willpower to do it - I had a long day at work, made even longer by the flat tire on my car when I was leaving work to go home . But it's done, and now I think there's some leftover Easter chocolate calling my name...
