Just you wait, it will be windy tonight ;)

Just over 14km this windless morning. Out and back on Watts Creek path for you Kanata Peeps, it is 99.9% clear of snow. First outing with my NAO. Fun times playing with the reactive lighting.

Elliptical and Strength at lunch.

A VERY soggy 6K with the clinic last night! I was NOT in the mood to go, but I'm so glad people showed up to get me out. I felt better afterwards.

Going to have another challenging one tonight. It's supposed to be speedwork - 2X 1mile. I think the local track might be a bit messy, so we may have to take to the cemetery and do loops in there. I'm gonna feel like a real coach! Dragging the stop watch out and all! :D

Good morning! There is a winter storm watch in effect for the GTA - supposed to get some combination of rain, freezing rain, ice pellets and snow starting overnight and continuing through tomorrow. Environment Canada says the storm track remains "uncertain", but it appears that the weather will be some kind of nasty. Somehow the words "winter storm" and "April" just look so wrong when used in combination...

Anyway, couldn't run yesterday morning because I had to be at work a little early for an external auditor visit, but I did make it to the gym last night for 13 km on the indoor track. That's my longest and hardest run until Monday. The plan for tomorrow is an easy-ish 8 km, which unfortunately will probably be indoors. This morning was just 20 minutes on the elliptical to help myself wake up, followed by upper body weights and some core work.

Have a great day, and stay warm and dry. :)

Awesome, thanks. I've been wondering about that. Can't wait to start running/biking to work again occasionally (I'm pretending that the 10-20cm of snow forecast for Friday isn't going to happen).

Swim day for me today - 2000 m.

I got out for a second run last night with C and the stroller to enjoy the mild temps at her request. I asked her if we should run slow or fast - she chose fast, of course!

There is a downed tree just after the 2nd wooden bridge. No problem running, but might be on a bike (you can walk around it.)

Snow? nah! it is a april joke

From what I saw on the news this morning, there's supposed to be a clear patch between 5PM and 3AM, which is when the really nasty stuff is going to start.

My plan is for 9(ish)K steady tonight.

It is supposed to rain here today sometime later this afternoon. Going to get out for 10km at lunch, chiro after work followed by an hour of weights/tabata.

Have a great day!

I run because it's my passion, and not just a sport. Every time I walk out the door, I know why I'm going where I'm going and I'm already focused on that special place where I find my peace and solitude. Running, to me, is more than just a physical exercise...it's a consistent reward for victory!

Like purdy, a very soggy 6k last night. Still hit an average pace of 4:42 which I am quite happy with.

Tonight supposed to be on the rack...but we might just be swimming laps around it....

Yeah. We may have to use a loop on the road rather than the track.

From what the clinic leader said last night, it may turn into a fartlek if the track isn't usable.
