This is sickening, WTF? This kind of reminds me of the bombing at the Atlanta Games back in 1996.

Any word on KenB?

Dee - This is certainly un-nerving to be jumping on a plane right after this occured. Hugs to you!

Very worried about him and two people from Kingston who were around his time all through the race.

This has really shaken me.

Me too :( :( A lot!

CNN keeps showing footage from the finish line as the initial explosion happened...can anyone identify Ken in the melee from the shot?

Not that I could see.

Cornwall runners checked in. One of the runners phoned on behalf of all of them and the CMS club posted on their site so that is one group ok. sigh. Now for the RM runners and my niece's friend.

The friend that I'm visiting is a doctor and at work today. She said the staff are crying and they are calling for all hands on deck in the ER. People are having a lot of trouble getting through on land lines so lots of ppl relying on texts to check in.

I've seen the footage a dozen times. I haven't seen Ken.

I keep looking at that guy in orange going down in the middle of the course. Ken's bigger than that, right?

Online tracking has him at the 40 k mark at 2:44, the bombs went off 5-6 minutes later. He should be about a full kilometer away at the time.

Ken SHOULD be ok. It seems it was people watching that were hurt moreso than runners.

my godfather was running today, but his half split puts him away from the finish line at the time of the explosion - I hope he's ok as well as Ken.

From the Deadspin website that Mike linked above: The marathon was being run in honor of the victims of the Newtown massacre. Some families were apparently watching from near the finish line....

If Newtown has not gone through enough, and now has to deal with this possibility. I'm at a loss for words. Those were certainly some graphic photo's. My thoughts & prayers go out to everyone!

Their Twitter feed hasn't been updated (I've been checking ... wondering for D)

The flight status page shows things are normal, but there are also reports about devices at airport hotels...

It does seem Logan is closed. But I can't find OFFICIAL tweets saying that.
