Steamy Monday
Good morning all!
Kicked off my fall marathon training program with a nice & easy 8km down to Presqu'ile Park. Already 23° when I headed out at 5:15am.

Keep on rolling, just a mile to go. Keep on rolling my old buddy, you're moving much too slow.

A very easy recovery 8K with a few strides thrown in to remind the legs how to move fast. It was hot already @ 5:30!

I run because it's my passion, and not just a sport. Every time I walk out the door, I know why I'm going where I'm going and I'm already focused on that special place where I find my peace and solitude. Running, to me, is more than just a physical exercise...it's a consistent reward for victory!

It's a muggy holiday here in Québec. Ran 5+k in the heat, in prep for my 10k on Saturday. Chugged along, but I am getting acclimated.

Re: Steamy Monday
Got caught in a rain shower on my way back from doing a couple of errands at lunch! Didn't look like it was going to rain, but within 15 minutes... Anyway, a few low activity days for me. Saturday I ran an easy 7.5 km with QC and that evening did core work and upper body weights. I had planned to get up early Sunday and go for a long run of between 21 and 25 km, but woke feeling kind of under the weather and slept for a while longer. By the time I was up, it was way too hot and humid, and although I thought about going to the gym and doing even just 10 km on the TM, in the end it was a rest day. Still felt a little "blah" this morning so skipped the gym. Tonight after work I have belly dance class, and I'll do some core/weights at home. Unless the hockey game tonight goes ridiculously late, should be on track tomorrow.

4 miles on TM
Re: Steamy Monday
Decent day here in Cochrane, where I'm visiting my parents. The paths by the river aren't open – some of them are still under the river. But at least the town is all well above water. I managed a nice 6.something km on some decent hills.

Re: Steamy Monday
grouse grind today... very slowly. I've been dragging for the past few days and thought this would help, but it definitely did not. I felt dizzy and nauseated for most of it. :/ may have that bug that's going around... hope not!
