Re: STWM roll call?
Rain tomorrow, but partly sunny and 11C on race day - with only a small chance of scattered showers! Now it may only be the wind we have to contend with - which seems to be the case every year at Scotia. I'm in the half though, I'll find a bunch of people taller than me (not hard to do!) and snuggle in among them.
I may not be able to hold back my pace. Sigh....

The 33.5K point of the race is right at the bottom of my street. And I'm within a 5-min walk of the 24-25K marks as well. I'll be out, just not sure where and what time.

Re: STWM roll call?
I picked up my bib at lunch - the shuttles worked petty well. The whole system worked pretty well. A bit of a line going thru scanning your chip. 2 ppl for everyone isn't that economical.
Re: STWM roll call?
Good luck everyone!
Re: STWM roll call?
Does anyone know if the STWM is being televised in the GTA? I can't find any listings for it on my Cogeco service.
Re: STWM roll call?
You can watch it online here
http://www.cbc.ca/sports-content/scotiabank-marathon/
I think it may be on the main network later in the day but I am not sure.

I think I'll be cheering near the RR in the Beaches, so that would be around 28K in one direction and 30K in the opposite direction. I won't see any half marathoners, though.

Re: STWM roll call?
Getting all my gear ready and trying to avoid the last-minute jitters. Black-and-white shirt, skull headband & matching arm sleeves. Now just sorting out the 'keep warm in the start corral' throwaway stuff. I took a 5-hour pace band at the expo - not sure if breaking that mark will be realistic tomorrow, but hoping not to be too far behind it. I'm mostly hoping to use the pace band to prevent myself going too fast in the early km's.
My neighbours came by while I was out at the expo and dropped off lasagna and cookies for post-race tomorrow, and I've got DH/DS, a few friends, my sisters & mom, FIL/SMIL, my cousin and possibly my boss cheering along the way. If anyone sees a blond 6-year-old boy with an air horn around 41k-ish, that's my little guy.
