funny. on FB, David's Tea is saying they're not doing anything for black friday, but i swear that the store i was in today (square one) said that everything would be 30% off. she even specified that everything would be on sale except the brewed beverages. :?

i got 100g of decaf earl grey and 100g of santa's secret (even though i still have some from last year… i was hoarding it for fear of the end). i've never had the decaf earl grey but am trying to cut down on my nighttime caffeine. i'm hoping it will be decent.

ooh if the infuser was 30% off i would be happy! I was going to go to buy it tomorrow on my lunch hour - I forgot it was "Black Friday" - I wonder if the mall would be busy. During the day. :eh:

I was disappointed in the decaf Earl Grey. I found it very bitter compared to regular Earl Grey.

:(

i haven't tried it yet. i wish i could learn to love their naturally caffeine-free options, and i do like them, but nothing floats my boat like a good black tea.

I went and got my tea infuser today. The staff at David's Tea are soooo nice (at least at this one. I'm sure they are at all of them. ) and I got some la la lemon to try. And she gave me this little booklet where I can mark down the ones I've tried! Perfect!

I want to try that movie night one too but later on I think.

unfortunately, i don't find the ones at the store closest to me particularly nice. every time i've been in, they've been pretty snooty. and they never offer samples! my experiences in toronto and mississauga have been much more pleasant.

that booklet sounds neat! i'm seriously losing track. i should log them on steepster.

i liked the decaf earl grey! whew!

Really? I've only been in this one but the staff are SUPER nice and helpful. And I got a sample today as well (it was the same flavour as I got last time but whatever  ) And she spent a fair amount of time with me picking out the tea.

The staff at my DAVIDs are awesome too. There are two guys that work there that I don't like as much, one comes off as snooty and the other just seems to try too hard but all the girls there are great. I'm on a first name basis with the manager now. :shifty:

Easily, 50% of the time we get a hot tea to go (to sip on while browsing the mall) they end up telling us (me AND Scotty) that "this one is on the house" and we rarely get a Tea of the Day. We do always get offered samples though.

I've conditioned myself to the point that I park in the same area, enter the mall via the door closest to DAVIDs and then DAVIDs is always my first stop. I feel disjointed if I don't get a tea to sip on while walking around.

The lattes are $4.50 here. I can't remember anything else because I was focusing on the fact that it seemed expensive (although cafe lattes are around that price!).

A co-worker bought some pineapple oolong and she shared some with me. I can't say I love it but I don't hate it either. :?
