Toronto Maniacs: Can you help out?

Postby carm » Mon Jun 02, 2014 11:39 am

Ok Toronto friends, I need your help/advice. A friend of mine has two dear inspirational friends visiting your city from Australia from June 4-16 who need some help with hosting OR safe/affordable hostel recommendations. If you can help them out, please PM me and I will pass your info along.

Not sure, H. I've used that site a couple of times and haven't ever been disappointed.

Have they searched the usual things like YHA and Backpackers?

There aren't unsafe areas in Toronto. If they are unfamiliar with the diversity of large cities, U of T might be slightly more comfortable.

Well, I don't know that I'd say that. I wouldn't suggest they stay at rooming houses in the downtown core like on Jarvis or Sherbourne. ;)

Do you guys have any leads on running groups or small free venues where the couple might do a talk for fellow runners? They said that they would be interested in something like that. I suggested the closest Running Room as a start.

Areas in general. ;)

Yeah, there are rooming houses that we weren't allowed to go into when I was a meals on wheels volunteer in that area. The male driver did those deliveries. But those are specific locations, not general areas. :)

Carm, maybe try Longboat Road Runners or Running Free for talks?
