Johnny Appleseed Wednesday
Johnny Appleseed Wednesday
The usual early morning 14K with the usual ice, pickup trucks, and discarded RUTRTW cups.
Re: Johnny Appleseed Wednesday
Good Morning!
15K here in the lovely warmer temps.
I scavenge for McDonald's cups because so often people leave the little sticker on that gets you a free coffee after 7. I don't specifically go hunting for them, but if I see, I'll pick up, take the sticker and put the cup in nearby garbage. Is that weird of me?

Re: Johnny Appleseed Wednesday
I had to take my car in at 8am (recall repair) and they told me it would take half the day so I dropped off the car and ran home--7 miles. Got home and there was a voicemail... my car was done before I even got home! lol Going to shower and eat before calling the shuttle to take me back.

Re: Johnny Appleseed Wednesday
My schedule had a tempo on it for today - 2 x 4 km with the first set at marathon pace and the second at half pace. I thought about sticking to the TM so I'd be sure to hit the paces, but the sunshine called my name and I decided to head out with the stroller and use PE instead of pace. Well, shocked myself by being able to hit the paces even with the stroller!
First 4 km were 5:15/5:05/4:59/5:01
Second set were 4:56/4:57/4:54/4:53
very pleased!

33k done, quite warm. Ranging from 9-17C. Tank top and shorts, I got burned on my shoulders.

You should be! If you can hit those paces w/ a jogger & in winter, it might be time to rethink your marathon goal .
We train more joyfully and productively when we focus on the now, rather than on our future race day performance. It's a long road from here to there with many miles to go. We need to run each one. Accept where you are today and simply be thankful for the work you've accomplished. KA
