For some time now it's been 5am. Back end of the day is less balanced so I get more done in the morning now, before doing whatever the workout of the day is.

Today was supposed to be 5km, but no treadmills were available (mutter mutter) so I hopped on an elliptical. Day has been going downhill ever since... :?

Usually 7, but 5:15 today to drive dd to a tournament.

I didn't get to swimming last night. I worked to midnight, and today's also deadline-crammed so I'm not sure if I'll be able to get out.

6.15 - shower, dress, feed cats, juice, out the door, at work by 7.20ish.

I was going to bite the bullet and go the gym today and run on a dreaded treadmill b'c the sidewalks are so icy and I don't feel like the added battle of dealing with the coldness out there, even though it's lovely and sunny. But I'm not sure - dh is really sick with a cold and I know I have it (in mini form) so I think I'm actually going to head home and rest. Just have a teleconference call at 11.30 to deal with then I can go.
I never know what to do with my body when it's obviously fighting something - lay low or carry on as planned :?:
Have a great day everyone - hope it's sunny where you are :D

I usually wake up about 5:45am and get out of bed between 6:15am and 6:30am.

Last night I went to bed at 9pm and still got out of bed at 6:30am. That felt soooo good. :D

I'm running home form work today. I don't know how far home, I'll see how it goes. It'll be somewhere between 12k and 18k. The forecast is for the temperature to peak at 9C while I'm running. :D :D :D
The road to hell is paved. Run trails.

On a run/workout morning alarm is set for 5am. If I can manage to only hit the snooze button once (or twice ) I try to start my workout by 5:30.

On a non-run/workout morning I sleep in 'til 6:30 (which is still wickedly early for a non-morning person such as myself).

I had to be in to work 1/2 an hour early today, so that, compounded with the fact that my lower back is still sore, convinced me to skip my run this morning and stay in bed until 6:30, then rushed through my get ready for work routine to be out of the house by 8.

Have 3k scheduled for today. Will hit the TM when I get home 1/2 an hour earlier than usual.

Very regular morning routine:
6:50 - clock radio comes on
7 - get up and shower, have a glass of juice
7:30 - walk the puppy for 30 minutes
8 - eat breakfast, check email, get ready for work
8:30 - leave for work, arriving at 9

Today... I might run tonight. If I do it will be 3-4 miles. Or I might just crash after work. I am sooooo tired.

Up at 5:00am on tuesdays and thursdays for a before work run. One of my two alarm clocks (either a 2 yr old 30 lb one or a 3 yr old 35lb one) wakes me up around 6:30 on all the other days of the week.

Got 12k in with 5x800m this morning.

Have a good day everyone.

Lots of early risers here! My alarm goes off at 6 most days - on a swim day like today I hit snooze twice, get out of bed at 6:20, and out the door at 6:40.

2150m swim this morning followed by a 5 km run into the office. The buses may be back, but I've decided that I'd rather spend 30 minutes running than 25 minutes waiting for and sitting on a bus.

Slept in today, I'm working in the afternoon.
Hope to go for a run before noon to loosen the legs a bit. I'm still a bit sore since Sunday, but it's good sore.

4:50 AM

I had 40 hard minutes on the bike trainer this morning. I have 45 minutes of running tonight at a pace "so slow, it barely seems worth the effort". :?

Usually my alarm goes off at 5:45, up and moving by 6, out the door by 7 for work at 7:30. However, I'm on vacation this week, so it's up at 8 when the Hamster wakes up! Thank goodness I have a child who loves to sleep.

Not sure what today will hold. Not feeling 100%, and I have 14 pieces of Ikea furniture ("some assembly required") being delivered this morning, so my workout may be several hours of furniture assembly. I'll see if I still have 30-45 min on the TM in me after that!

Our alarm is set for 4:45 am and like good little employees both my husband & I got up, got dressed & attempted to go in to work.

What a nightmare the roads are  Took us half an hour to go 3.5 miles just to get to the highway, tried the old gas, then brakes test & our 4x4 1/2 ton went sideways - just turned her around & slowly made our way back home.

So now, thanks to the wonders of modern technology - I'm working at home :D :D

Thinking of doing some eliptical & bike work during my lunch hour - Lord I wished I could just work from home permanently :!:

Have a good one everybody !!!!

Short 6.8k run done. I'm still quite sore, but had to go out for a run to loosen my legs and test my new Mizuno Inspire 4s. They felt ok, but I have to take them out for a long run to be able to better tell if they are a good fit.

Wow - you guys all get up pretty early! I have tried the running thing in the mornings many times and it does not agree with me. Therefore I get up each day around 7:20ish :) I do tend to stay up a bit later at night though, i am more of a nighthawk.

Today is a rest day - I am racing next Sunday and I have been going pretty hard on the old running/swimming/weights regime and want to feel fresh on Sunday. Going for an easy run tomorrow, hills on THursday (part of marathon training) then recovery run Friday with rest on Saturday. Two rest days in one week - I should be raring to go :) lol.

Off for lunch now - Vietmanese food :) Yumm!!

Have a good one maniacs!
Jocelyn

I run because it's my passion, and not just a sport. Every time I walk out the door, I know why I'm going where I'm going and I'm already focused on that special place where I find my peace and solitude. Running, to me, is more than just a physical exercise...it's a consistent reward for victory!

Everyone's been calling me at home  I've gotten about a dozen calls already - I didn't realize I was that important
After the 4th call I just started answering our phone: Service Department, Cheryl speaking  :D

Alarm goes off ~ 5:20am, I get up between 5:30-5:45, shower, dress, get kids up, pack lunches, get kids breaky, comb kids hair, out the door ~7:00ish to get to work by 8:00.

Lately the nights have been a little later so getting up at 5:30 has been more difficult. Lucky for me I work from home 2x week, on those days I still try to get up early and start working at 6:00am so I can go for a run in the afternoon. Today I got up at 6:00 and started working at 6:30am.

Today .... working from home again as DD is sick (flu). Should do ~8k tonight.. we'll see when I can fit it in as the other DD has a dentist appointment this afternoon.

7-ish, would otherwise be earlier but heavy training is wasted with insufficient sleep.

Speedwork Tuesday: 4x2K threshold plus WU/CD for 15K.
