40 minutes on the bike last night. Will try the same today. In between icing my back and trying to get an X Ray scheduled for it.

Happy birthday !

Today will be longish, about 9 miles after work, have to pay a local contractor so I'm using it as a destination to force me the distance. No wimping out if "it doesn't feel right" after I start. Radio just reported temp at -7 wtih -1 WC, and likely a bit colder tonight.

It's Marg's BD???? How did I not know that???

Happy Birthday, Marg, Carrie and Pam (I'm assuming you mean prairiekid?).

I pushed myself hard during my spin class last night - got my HR up to 163 at one point! I also did a strength/core workout beforehand.

Tonight is runpub. I will be taking it easy and only doing 40 minutes at an easy pace - not pushing it like I did last Wednesday - while my Achilles is still tender. It's feeling OK today, but I don't want to set myself back by doing a hard run tonight.

Good Morning!

13K done in the blowing snow! Oh well, the streets weren't too bad as far as footing, and it was't overly cold, so it was all good!

A chilly 6.9 km run to work this morning in 43:03 with a heavy pack and mixed footing. Sometimes it was good, and other times the snowbanks had been pushed onto the sidewalk by street plows. :? Dang Mr. Plow. D'oh!

Happy Birthday to the birthday girls!

Hills & Drills for me tonight, although yet again, I'm not sure which as we STILL don't have our schedule. Whatever it is, it will be between 6 and 10km and will include either hills or speedwork.

After two full days off, I'm ready to get back at it. My body really needed those extra days off.

7.5km for me this morning. I thought it was going to be a slow one, so I put Roger Waters on the ipod (nice chill music for a slow run). Apparently Pink Floyd tunes were what I needed, as I ended up keeping a pretty good pace (despite the odd outburst of air drumming)- averaged 5:20/km.
Keep on rolling, just a mile to go. Keep on rolling my old buddy, you're moving much too slow.

I went to my speed play run class last night - but didn't do the actual speed workout due to my knee feeling wonky (which I'm attributing to my orthotics and have an appt booked for another adjustment tomorrow morning). I did do the warmup, dynamic drills and strides, and the just ran while the others did the 4x800m with 2min rest, followed by 3x200m....I ended up with 6k in 38min done, so I'll take it.

today - spin class at Tri It.

Happy Birthday to all of you maniacs celebrating today!!!

I'm heading out for a run in a little while--hoping for 30 minutes in the 38F sunshine 8) Then lunch with two girlfriends, and studying all afternoon. I have to run a few errands after lunch too, and am also going to bake some bread tonight. I'm also keeping my eyes open for Apple news today r/e their possible tablet announcement--my fingers and toes are crossed for a great announcement, since I'm dying for a tablet, and refuse to go PC! (If it doesn't come out, I'm resigning myself to getting a macbook pro, but I'd really love a tablet!)

Have a great day everyone!

GOOD MORNING!!!! :D A fine day to have a birthday . . . I am a Aquarius and born in the Year of the Monkey and I live up to both (or so I'm told).

What a beautiful birthday so far. I just woke up a half hour ago, I'm not at work, I'm still in my PJs, I'm playing with my play doh and wearing my new Olympic mitts that I got from my mum and dad, and drinking some lovely freshly ground Sumatran coffee. So far, so good.

My house is still clean. The dogs were Good Little Daughters last night and didn't mess anything up at all. Run later this afternoon planned. I am really relishing the longer days and love running into the sunset. Maybe a stop at Dairy Queen? Who knows. It will be good.

I hope my fellow birthday crew are also having a great day.
