I was looking for you when it was going down (up?) Burrard! I didn't see you.bruyere wrote:Dr. S wrote:Things should be exciting in Vancouver today! Are some maniacs going to the opening Ceremony?
I'm watching it at one of the LiveCity locations!
My Vancouver morning:
It was fate, perhaps... I did a bit of yoga, then eventually left home, missing my bus to the Seabus. But just as I was walking down, giving up and figuring I'd be on the next one, 15 mins later, a bus came by, so I made the Seabus with 20 seconds to spare. I was walking to work, and had decided to go up to the Tim Horton's on Dunsmuir, when I saw "stuff" going on, and it turns out, I'd run into the torch relay. Then I bumped into someone from work, and we got moved off the road and stuck in a spot, and the torch flame was exchanged RIGHT in front of us. I got some great video.
Working for a while today. Hardly anyone is here. Then off to meet folks... and enjoy the buzz.
