If you are in the Nation's Capital on Thanksgiving Weekend, consider the Ottawa Fall Colours Races on Sunday, October 9, 2005 ....
They have events for the entire family, from a 1K Kids Run, 5K, 10K a Half Marathon to the Marathon ....
A beautiful Thanksgiving country run in the city. A breathtaking course set in a replica 19th century farming village -- the Cumberland Heritage Village Museum. Come and join 1,500+ in one of the 4 adult and 1 children's races in this beautiful autumn setting and over estate and country roads .....
I did my first marathon on this course, which was basically two loops of the half marathon course and even set my Half Marathon PB on this course last Fall .... If you don't mind a bit of hills (first 9-10K is uphill, and the last half is all downhill) it is potentially a fast course ... This year, they have decided to change the marathon course a bit, the first half is the same as the Half Marathon Route, and on the second half, it follows the same route, up the hill for the first 10.5K and then turn around back down to finish line .....
For the marathon event, usually only about 100+ runners in the event... How many people can say that they finished in the top 100 Overall in a BQ Marathon event
