Halloween Ghost Run
(Quebec City, Quebec)

Author: Delanie
Date: 2005-11-16

The Quebec City Halloween Ghost Run was fantastic! I highly recommend it as a fun run.

It was well organized and the course was great. It starts on the Grande Allee, goes through the Plaines of Abraham and then loops back to finish on Grand Allee. There is a 2K family run, a 5K run and a 10K run (2 loops of the 5K). Most of the people were dressed up in costume. (Tip: Tutu's okay to run in, wigs BAD!)

If you are easily spooked then this run might not be for you. Since the run takes place at night the course through the Plaines of Abraham is a little spooky. Each KM is marked with volunteer ghosts and haunted music.

After the run everyone is invited to the Vampires Ball where prizes can be won and awards are handed out along with music and dancing.

Instead of a t-shirt they gave out these cool Asics Thermopolis hats. Each participant receives a medal and a free beer at the Ball (that's a first!).

I will be there again for sure next year.
