March Break Away (Fredericton, New Brunswick)

The Fredericton RR is organizing a 5K/10K race on March 11 in Fredericton with all the proceeds going to Camp Rotary to help the kids that use the camp, so it is a great cause. I've mapped out the course on my trusty Garmin, so I can tell you it won't be super fast course, but did I mention the $15 entry fee goes to a great cause.
We are starting inside the Agricultural Complex which is on the Lincoln Road. The course starts out deceptively easy, there are several declines in the first 2.5K, which may come back to haunt anyone starting off too quickly. We will leave "the farm" through a side road, hit Draco Road and turn left and follow the Lincoln Road and turn left on Wilsey Road (and that is where the hills start). We will follow it back into the agriculture complex and that is the finish line for the 5K and you head out on one more loop for the 10K.
This is the inaugural running of this race, so we are doing a no-frills version but are hoping to get a lot of people out ... did I mention the proceeds go to a great charity. The start time is 10 a.m. on March 11.
You can contact me for more information, but you can also register on-line with the RR or at the Fredericton store.
It would be awesome to see some of the local and Maritime Maniacs at the event.
