Warkworth 8-miler

Yes we did have a good time at this race. I would recommend it to anyone for next year. The trails were lovely, wide and the weather was perfect for a trail race. We had so much fun. I doubt that we will all be so lucky to all win medals next year but we certainly have a beautiful one from this years race to keep and remember.

Yes, it was a great race! A lot of bang for your buck! Door prizes for everyone and medals for practically everyone. This may not happen next year though if we can promote the race and get more people out! But that's ok. The organizers put a lot of work into the race, it would be great to see it take off!

I have to rave about the 2nd annual Warkworth 8 Miler. It was really fun. There was only 26 people, the volunteers were great and it was so beautiful. The leaves were changing, and the weather was great. I ran with a bunch you all know, by the name of "run jane run", her daughter Heather and Running Maniac Cathy. Jane by the way turned 50 today!!! Yippee!
The course was challenging, lots of ups and downs. I swear there was more ups than down. lol
It was a combination of road and trail. The most pleasent was running along the babbling brook.
Thank you Heather, Jane and Cathy for a great race!
Did I forget to mention the medals were hand made by a local artists? Very unique!
I have to say, for a second annual race, they did very well. I'm looking forward to next years!!!!
