I was thinking about either the Sprint Du or the Dirty Du. I just checked my email and Somersault sent one saying that the participation was so low they might have to cancel the Dirty Du. I really wish there were more participants in these races. Calling all "multi-sporters"!!!

I know that dude ... I remember that race well .... running in up to 5 inches of slush, snow, sleet .... blisters galore ... :? What a fun time that was ...  Ha ha.. that's too funny. I was there too - it was tough! It was only my second 1/2 and I was NOT at all prepared for 2+ hrs of r...

I run with my black lab and I echo everyone's comments. Typically we only run about 6K-8K and I leave him at home for long runs but he has gone up to about 12K. I know, I know, it's so hard because they get so excited when they see you're going for a run. My husband asked the vet once and he said as...

I'll be there running the 10K with a group of my co-workers and friends. Looking forward to it.... well not really actually - it's a really hard course I think. Hopefully I'll see you there!

You will find that a pool noodle will not be dense enough to help you at all. I would also avoid some of the other suggestion of using plastic or glass to roll on. The foam roller is a very good idea and can be used for a variety of different exercise ranging from simple massage /release to excellen...

Thanks to everyone for a warm welcome! I put off joining your group for a while for fear I would spend too much time surfing the site but then I realized I was doing it anyways! Thanks as well for all the good wishes for the upcoming NCM. I will try and find your group after the race. This is just w...

Hi Everyone, I have to admit, I've kind of been lurking for a while myself. I'm running the 1/2 at the NCM on Sunday and my bib # is 7292 . It's my 3rd time doing the 1/2 at NCM so I'm hoping for a good one. I'm shooting for 1:59:59 (with some luck!). Good luck to everyone running this weekend. I'll...
