Got my 21 SUNDAY
Did it! Actually, the goal was 20 miles, but it looked like I'd end a loop with 20.6 miles so I did a short out and back to get to 21.1 miles. It was slow but I got it done. Made it out of bed SATURDAY
The alarm went off at 4:30 and I got up! Made it to Brummerhop park by 5:45. 3 hours, 14 miles and 40 oz of water, time for a shower.... maybe a little treadmill walking later.

Re: 4th of July TUESDAY
Have a great day today, Spirit, Happy 4th to me. So far, I slept in. Worked on my project. Did 90 minutes of machines and 90 min of running on the tm. Showered and now eating. I am wearing my stars and striped Marathon Maniacs shirt. America is filled with beautiful people and beautiful scenery. Un...

Tempo Friday
I don't know what got into me this morning. Mile 1 was the usual slow barely breaking 13 min/mile. But then.... mile 2 at 11:25. Mile 3 at 11:07. Mile 4 at 10:21. Mile 5 at 10:59. I forgot to look at mile 6. Mile 7 was slower at 11:27, but still, wow! All this in steamy Seabrook where the low at nig...

Happiness Friday
I was happy to go for a run outside in a park this morning. I got to see a red sunrise over Galveston bay. The red color reflected off windows in the distance to the right, so part of the coast looked like a string for fire diamonds. I also saw a herd of 6 deer. Many bunny rabbits. And the usual con...

Re: Blister on (ring toe?) second last toe
Hey, I've been training for the MB marathon coming up in June and I completed my weekly long run yesterday (9 miles) and then played two games of softball in a tournament. Anyways, when I got home and took off my shoes and socks I had a fairly large blister on my second last toe, right on the botto...
