This will only hurt a little Wednesday

I have a semi private personal training session with Dr. Hot Rob this morning.

My will to live is usually gone at the halfway point. I hope to come out alive.

Ok, I did a hill workout on the TM this morning and it did hurt! Three long gradual hills (10+ minutes each) with the highest elevation being 5.0, at a slower than usual pace. My goal is to get to 6.0. Finished with a fast mile and felt great for having put in the effort.

Not sure whether I'll run tonight, or make up the belly dance class I missed last night due to working late, or work late. It's that time of year again and it doesn't help that our CFO is going on vacation and frantically trying to get stuff finished before that. :(

Have a great (and not too painful) day, everyone!

Today is my first planned day back to running. It's been 10 days since my marathon (and 6 days since I arrived back home). High of -14C forecast for today... perfect day to return to running!

I don't really have a plan for this evening's run, other than to try to last about 30 minutes in the cold.

I had an awesome track workout out at UBC last night, my calves are feeling it. So today will be an easy paced run after work tonight.

10.3km!! First post-baby 10km- I feel great. It wasn't particularly fast (5:41) but it was very comfortable. I was very, very bundled up and it helped that there was hardly any wind.

Gees Stampie. Had I known I would have put an order in long ago. But in my case skip the coffee.

Good workout with DHR. My butt hurts. Shoulders hurt. He did something right.

Alarm the Cats Wednesday here. 35 times running up and down the stairs. I was a little queasy by the end, but not in too, too much pain.

yay QC - great stuff!

Stampie - how nice!

4 km for me on the TM since DH was away. And it was stupid cold out.

I counted up and between ice, cold and DH's travel, I've done 31 treadmill runs since December 1!

-14C, with no wind here in the YYZ.
Back from a long hike in Taylor Creek Park - beautiful, with the snow squeaking under my feet.
Did not see another person, animal or bird the whole time. It was like being a million miles away....

Good lordy my arms hurt this morning from yesterdays training session! Today was 10km on the TM with 6 x 500m speed intervals thrown in. Total time of 48:12. The intervals felt good and the recovery even better, lol. Tonight going to a cardio/weights class with my SIL. She gets nervous going to classes so I said I would go along to give her some motivation. Hopefully my arms don't explode, lol.

I run because it's my passion, and not just a sport. Every time I walk out the door, I know why I'm going where I'm going and I'm already focused on that special place where I find my peace and solitude. Running, to me, is more than just a physical exercise...it's a consistent reward for victory!

nothing yet. I am at Tim Hortons. I am on my way to the ymca for a run on the treadmill. I think I am only going to run around 6 or 8 kms before my back and biceps workout.

Run foiled since my car is in the shop and I don't relish being cold from standing waiting for the streetcar before I've even run. Bah.

My hip was hurting just walking around downtown today. Tried to do an easy run this evening on the TM and had to step off at 1K before I really hurt myself. Cr@p.....
