I'm here!

Got the clearance to walk. So, this will be my "safe haven".

Who do we have in here these days?

My name is Trixiee, and I (hopefully will) have a walking problem! :)

 I love that you got clearance to walk!!!
When your legs get tired, run with your heart.

Overcome the notion that you must be regular. It robs you of your chance to be extraordinary.

I walk daily (to work and home - about a hour or so round trip)...

It's my time to think and reflect and wonder on life...

yay for clearance to walk!

i am here! leading a Walk 10K group for the Sun Run. the saving grace is that the pace set by the participants is very very slow so i am able to stay below my basement-dwelling lactate level. we are beginning to suspect that i have a secondary mitochondrial disorder or some other defect in cell respiration.

Trix - i am interesting in hearing how your injections are working. i am wondering if something like that would benefit mr seuss with his bone-on-bone knees.

Go, Trixiee, go!!! Let me know when you're in Toronto: perhaps we can walk some hills. I know you love 'em.

Seussy, I can't believe how much better the pain is - in fact, there is almost no pain and the swelling has diminished significantly. At this point, i have no negatives re: the injections. I did get a wee bit of soreness today on the exercise bike at the gym (recumbant), but walked the treadmill for 20 minutes without any pain! I do believe that a few physio sessions will really benefit me...

Send mr seuss off to inquire. I saw a report on the news about the product, and they reported that neo visc (or syn visc) injections delayed knee surgery for 75% of the patients in the trial. (For how long, I don't know)

Good for you Pat.
Sound like it's time to put some mileage in.

Keep us posted.
