Postby KaTyBrown » Sat Jun 17, 2006 6:05 pm

:D Guess What?
I have accepted to be a 10K Clinic Leader at the RR. First night last night and it went very well.

I have gotten over NCM :( and now forging ahead!!!!!!!!!!!
They all seemed happy and I am happy now too.
Heading for the goal for my group of 10K at the Mtl.marathon - keep on walking all.

This is excellent news...and shows that you have the soul of an athlete. I think the ability to put disappointments behind...set new goals...and forge ahead are key attributes.

I am reading a book called Your Performing Edge. There is a story in the book about Steve Prefontaine (elite runner) who lost in the Olympic 5000 metres at Munich ...this loss led him to consider quitting the sport. His coach told him..."If you're gonna run, be at the track and I'll give you the workout: or if you're gonna stop running, then do that.

You decide. I can't coach desire"

Sounds to me like you have the desire to Walk...looks good :D

Thanks for the kind words! :D

I have noted the title and will get the book this week. I am looking forward to showing those in the clinic what I have learned from others who have more experience than me.

Hugs to that wonderful pooch of yours.....love reading about him.

Best of luck with the clinic. 8)

Keep on Running you guys/gals.....

Way to go KaTy! I have always found that I learn more when I teach then when I am the student! I wish I could take your class, maybe another time! Congrats to you for taking the plunge!
