I would also be curious to know how many TIMES you run a week... ie how many double workout days you have. Crazy Iron Types, I'm curious about you too!!

It depends is the truth...
There are always 4 core workouts in my week. As I get closer to the race, sometimes that moves to 5. I think we are all different. After 10+ years of running, I have been known to have some injuries so I'm a fan of cross training. I'm into bike, elliptical, stairmaster, skipping and I used to swim.

I only ever workout once a day unlike those crazy Ironpeople . Yes it is true that sometimes my workouts are very long.....

I think we only a handful ultrarunners on this board...and if you don't vote you can't see the results.

Someday I'll run an ultra or two but I don't think I'll ever convert to an official Ultra-person. So I'll stick with Super-person. Super Robbie-T

I'm just a wannabe. But my style is just to go as long as possible one day a week, and a couple of shorter runs during the week if there's time, but sometimes I go swimming or biking instead because after all summer is short and what the hell you have to do some triathlons too.
Hoping for TUR 50k, Kingston 6 hr, and Haliburton 50k.

I answered 4 to the poll.
In trying to come to terms with my commitment to run the 100km Blackfoot this coming spring, I've modelled my plan after the Hal Higdon Comrades Marathon plan. The core of that is double long runs on the weekend. I'm also doing 2 more runs during the week, and a third sorta-mini run too.. (I'm teaching a learn to run clinic where I run to the store and back from home, about 4 miles round trip) but I'm not counting the clinic runs in my log.
I'm also trying to get in at least one, if not two, weight sessions a week, plus hot yoga is going to get in there too, plus some other cross training as needed.
And for those of you counting, no, I don't have many days off in there... Friday is, however, the one day I am trying to keep as a complete rest day.
OK, enough of a late night ramble for me.. bed is calling.

I run distance because I want to be in good shape when I die.
