I PB'd at National Capital!!! (5k)

Postby rdmsgirl » Thu Jun 03, 2010 8:27 am

I didn't think I would, given the fact that the 5k was soooo crowded (was walking slowly when I passed the start line!!!) , and the fact that it was hot and I was undertrained. But , despite a 2 minute walk at the half way mark, and walking through the water station  , I beat my previous PB of 35:50 - chip time was 34:57!!!! :D

Thanks to all the Maniacs , I don't post often, but I lurk frequently and you are all inspiring . Thanks especially to the Maniacs I saw cheering at the 5k - you lifted my spirits tremendously :D
If only I could love running as much as I love yoga....

Aw , too bad I don't remember the last 300 metres :( I wish I would have seen you!!!

Thanks everyone for your kind words of encouragement - I was feeling a little sheepish for being proud of a slow time

Well done! Be proud!

Carrie, Framboise (Cynthia) and I were cheering near the underpass at Petoria bridge. Does a large red clapping hand and orange/black pom poms ring a bell???
